Welcome to Mt. Hope Congregational Church, where faith, hope, and love meet!
We know your visit today is via the internet, but even so we appreciate you being with us.
Choir (Practices Wednesdays 7:30 p.m.)
Mt. Hope is blessed with one of the most vocally talented (and lovingly crazy) choirs in the area — but you don’t need to be a music major to pitch in! Men and women ages 14 and up may participate in the choir, which performs between one and three songs per worship service. The choir is directed by Shari Haverty, who meets with the group on Wednesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. for a time of practice and prayer. The choir is also asked to sing on special occasions (such as Christmas Eve).
Our handbell choir is led by Doris Edwards, who has been working with youth and adults for many years to turn our sanctuary into a refuge for pealing bells of joy. They perform periodically throughout the year in the service. If you are interested, she is always on the lookout for more talent. Practices are on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m.
Do you have a desire to sing or play an instrument for the glory of God? Then you might be interested in performing a piece of special music during the Sunday service. From barbershop quartets to exotic instruments, special music is a way for individuals to use their musical talents to praise Christ Jesus.
