Welcome to Mt. Hope Congregational Church, where faith, hope, and love meet!
We know your visit today is via the internet, but even so we appreciate you being with us.
1 Corinthians 16:13 charges us to “stand firm in the faith”. At Mt. Hope, we’ve named our youth ministry “Firm Faith” because of our desire to see teens experience and develop a faith that will last them well through their adult years. Led by Pastor Justin and a team of dedicated adult leaders, Firm Faith is all about building relationships for Jesus, about Jesus.
Sunday School (Sundays, 9:30 a.m.)
It may be early on a weekend morning, but God’s up and we brought donuts! This hour is full of activities, discussions and deeper insight into our relationship with Jesus. Firm Faith Sunday school meets in Pastor Justin’s office at 9:30 am.
Youth Group (Sundays, junior high at 3:00 p.m. and senior high at 6:00 p.m.)
Loud, energetic, passionate and real – our youth group is to be experienced at top volume! Every Sunday, teens from grades 4 through 12 meet for a great time of hanging out, singing praise songs, playing games, doing activities, praying and being at home with God. We worship and do activities as a large group, then break up into junior high and senior high small groups. Friends are welcome!
Firm Faith is involved in a number of smaller mission projects during the year, and also a week-long mission trip during the summer. In the past, we’ve traveled to Wisconsin, Tennessee, Ohio, Michigan and Illinois to serve for Christ.
Events and Activities
One of our goals at Firm Faith is to reach out to the teens of the community and invite them into church, and one of the best ways to do that is with fun events! We try to do at least one trip or event each month, such as going to a Christian concert, throwing a lock-in, or doing a progressive dinner.
